The Board of the Shareholder Services Association (the “SSA”) will have the honor of ringing the iconic New York Stock Exchange closing bell at the end of trading on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, in celebration of the SSA’s 70th anniversary.

SSA President Alvin Santiago said, “We are extremely proud of the honor to ring the closing bell. Our diverse members represent corporations of all sizes from across the nation who interact with their shareholders on a daily basis. I feel that I am not ringing the bell for just the SSA, but for all the shareholders who have invested in our member companies”.

Most recently, the SSA filed an Amicus Brief before the Supreme Court concerning the important topic of unclaimed property and filed comments to the SEC’s proposed rules and regulations concerning Transfer Agents.

SSA President Alvin Santiago states “Although the SSA is 70 years old, our association continues to remain a relevant change agent to enhance the effectiveness of the shareholder services industry. We continue to provide educational programs for our members in a collegial atmosphere and we are effective advocates for industry issues”.
